The OEM 5-11141-017-2 cylinder head gasket is the core sealing component between engine cylinder block and cylinder head of Isuzu C190 engine. It separates combustion chamber, cooling water channel and lubricating oil passage to avoid coolant entering cylinders, engine oil mixing with water, and power drop caused by gas leakage.

It must be replaced during engine major overhaul, or when symptoms such as white exhaust smoke, oil emulsification, cylinder compression reduction and overheating occur. It is recommended to replace together with valve seals, crankshaft front & rear oil seal 94026324 and full gasket set for one-time complete repair.

1. What is the difference between metal head gasket and asbestos paper gasket?

   Multi-layer steel metal gasket has far higher pressure and temperature resistance, not easy to burn through, suitable for forklift heavy load working; paper gasket is easy to deform and damage under long high load.

2. Critical installation specification

   Tighten cylinder head bolts in diagonal cross sequence with standard torque value in 2-3 times, to prevent gasket uneven stress and local leakage.
