137-6716 CAT C7 Camshaft With Timing Gear Assembly

CAT C7 camshaft assembly with timing gear is the core driving component of the engine valve train. Driven by the crankshaft via the end timing gear, it controls the opening and closing timing of intake and exhaust valves through the curved contour of each cam lobe, completing air intake, exhaust and combustion cycle of the diesel engine.
Replace this camshaft during engine overhaul when issues such as cam surface pitting, journal excessive wear, abnormal valve train knocking and disordered valve timing occur. It is recommended to match with tappets, push rods, rocker arms and full overhaul gasket kit for complete repair.
